Dual Boot

So I had an old laptop laying around, a Dell Inspiron 1100, and wanted to get some usefulness out of it. Decided to give the dual boot thing a shot. Step one Windows XP Pro. Standard load and partitioning the Hard Drive. Pretty easy so far, then Ubuntu goes on works great, no problems thus far, make sure you partion out a decent Swap drive and your up and running. No issues thus far, stability is good, and the Grub Loader works like a champ on boot. The biggest pain in the ass was getting the DVD codecs loaded, but a quick search on the ubuntu forums and I'm good to go.

Current Projects

Home made surveillance system. I recently decided that I wanted to design a home web-based video security system. I went to my local used computer parts store (didn't want to wait on shipping) and found an older IP cam (NC-800). Plugged it directly into my router and went to work. First thing, new firmware, and proper placement. Now I have a view to my drive way. Next step an FTP server on my main computer with a static IP. Now motion activated captures are sent straight to my hard drive. Anyone have any ideas on how to push the video directly out to the web?
